Who we are:

Director & founder Cathy Denford, set up the company in 1997 as an improvising troupe to serve the communication needs of disadvantaged groups. She has directed productions at Theatre Royal, York and the West Yorkshire Playhouse, and teaches drama across the region. After her initial drama training at Birmingham University, she worked in television, making documentaries with community groups for Channel Four. Risky Things uses her varied skills of collaborative researching, directing, presenting/'jokering' and producing, both live and recorded material.
